[The following message is from the IPICS 2026 Local Organizing Committee]
We are pleased to announce the International Partnerships in Ice Core Sciences (IPICS) 2026 Open Science Conference. Please join us in the breathtaking mountain town of Banff, Canada, from October 11–16, 2026, as we come together to explore the past, present, and future of our planet through the lens of ice. From the frozen depths of million-year-old cores to the cutting edge of climate modeling, IPICS 2026 is your gateway to the latest discoveries in ice core research. This conference will spotlight the power of international partnerships, celebrate international achievements in ice core science, and spark bold ideas for understanding and addressing global change. Whether you’re presenting groundbreaking data, forging new collaborations, or just starting your journey into the world of ice core science — IPICS 2026 is the place to connect, contribute, and get inspired.
Ice Core Young Scientists (ICYS) will be hosting a workshop for early career researchers (ECR) on October 11th , 2026 at the Banff Centre. This is a great opportunity to meet other ECRs, initiate new collaborations, and kickstart the week. More information coming soon!
