[The following message is from the IPICS 2026 Local Organizing Committee]
Dear Colleagues,
This is our second communication to invite you to express your interest in attending the International Partnerships in Ice Core Sciences (IPICS) 2026 Open Science Conference. Please join us in the breathtaking mountain town of Banff, Canada, from October 11–16, 2026, as we come together to explore the past, present, and future of our planet through the lens of ice.
Ice Core Young Scientists (ICYS) will be hosting a workshop for early career researchers (ECR) on October 11th, 2026, at the Banff Centre. This is a great opportunity to meet other ECRs, initiate new collaborations, and kickstart the week. More information coming soon!
We have separate meeting rooms available in case you would like to use IPICS as an opportunity to get together with your cryosphere project. Please get in touch to discuss the details.
Meeting details are available at https://www.ipics2026.org/. To help the local organizing committee plan further, please click here [https://www.ipics2026.org/rsvp] to indicate your interest in attending the meeting. You will also have the option to sign up for the mailing list, where we will send announcements when registration opens
Lodging is available at the conference venue, and we strongly encourage all IPICS participants to stay on site for more interaction with your colleagues. Catch up with old friends and meet some new ones. We plan for both breakfast and lunch at the venue for all participants.
Please mark your calendars, and feel free to share this announcement with colleagues and relevant mailing lists.
